Some people conclude that each person only has a certain amount of willpower to use everyday. It's a great idea that I've believed in and it seems to make sense because you can see it everyday as people "burn-out" doing things they don't want to do, like studying, working, not-eating, etc. But, I'd like to present a different side of this.
Thinking that you only have a certain amount of willpower to spare is just an excuse to give up. So, forget about willpower, it may be the wrong line of thinking if you want to reach [more] goals and give up less.
So, what do you do without willpower leading your life? You live and do whatever you want to do, without thinking/worrying about any "scientific" or psychological reasons/excuses. Whatever your current goal is, focus in on that one. Remind yourself every second, minute, hour, and/or day to get your top priorities done first (see my post on Priority Lists). Caveat: Your well-being typically comes first, which includes sleeping and possibly eating.
Any weakness is just in your head, and you can overcome it.
Summary:
My original note-to-self said:
Infinite willpower by not knowing what willpower is.

Pyramid Scheme Of Helping
I want to start a pyramid scheme to help others. People I randomly help must help others and tell them to help others, recursively.
But, then again, you can't force anybody to do something they don't want to do. Though, they may just need to be reminded every now and then to think about others.

Stimuli
Overwhelm one of the
senses to not think about another. Example, you can use visual stimuli to
completely forget what you were thinking. Also, it is possible to think so hard that you forget what you were thinking about.

Quote: I'd Rather People Think I Think They're Dumb, Than Confirm It.
The title is just a shorter version for easy consumption. The following extended quote explains just a little more:
"I'd rather people think I think they're dumb, than to confirm I think they are."
This came up when I was trying to explain something. I either had to assume they didn't know something "basic", or ask them if they knew of the said something that was "common knowledge".
A way to combat this: http://xkcd.com/1053/

Question = Questions + Statements; Answer = 2 * Answer
Every time a question is asked, a statement is also being made. A lot of times, when a question is asked, it is actually another question that is really asked. And, another question (in addition) is always answered.
Think about it.
