Question: Space Shuttles

When space shuttles launch, the seem to be making a large arc (not going up straight). So, my first question was, why don't the space shuttles go straight up? Then, I thought, maybe it is going straight up... Maybe it is just us on Earth that is rotating away...

Topic: Paper Weights

Do people actually use paper weights? Isn't gravity enough to keep papers down?

Question: Kitchen Counters

Is there a typical height of a kitchen counter? Is there an optimal height?

Just looked it up and apparently, yes, three feet is the standard height of kitchen counter. This is supposed to be a compromise between tall people and short people.

Topic: Shower

How to take a shower:
1. Wet.
2. Soap.
3. Rinse.

Each step should take, at most, about one minute. Thus, three minutes total.

Caveat: If you have long hair, then you can take longer.

Topic: Food

I only eat a certain amount of food everyday... Everything that I can get my hands on.

Why don't recruiters say which company the open positions are for?

(Third-party) headhunters, aka recruiters, aka talent sourcers don't say which company they are recruiting for because that would allow the perspective employee to go around them and talk to the company directly. Then, the headhunter wouldn't get their (possible) bonus.

Pop-Tarts In Milk

Eating Pop-Tarts dipped in milk tastes really good. So far, I have just tried the Oreo Pop-Tarts. Next, I may try first toasting the pastries, then dipping them in milk. =b

Question: Music

If you don't listen to the radio or check social medias, then how do you know how popular artists and songs are?

Your Reach Is More Than You Think

A person an inch taller than another can reach up one and a half inches higher.

A person two inches taller than another can reach up three inches higher.

On average.

For purposes of this post, people's arm-spans are exactly the same as their height (I know it can vary a few inches).

So, when a person is 2 inches taller, they also have 2 inches to give to the length of their arms, approximately 1 inch would go to each arm (assuming that each person's torso is the same width).
